This thread is for changes to moves which are already made by GameFreak. Do not suggest changes which change hte premise of the move, only mechanics or details. I'll reject them immediately otherwise.
I think Play Nice should be a Fairy-type move. It fits the "cute" theme and Play Rough is a Fairy-type move too.

The first thing that pops in mind is HMs. we need to make them viable

More HM's like Surf, and less like Cut.

I really dunno bout that... Waterfall is viable, surf is equal to muddy water, Fly is intentionally NOT competitive, Dive could be a bit stronger to match Fly BP, Cut can be used by weak pokes as well as strong ones so it seems balanced enough. Rock smash seems fine to me. An HM that could become a bit better is strenght by giving focus for next turn. However it should stay as a normal type because of the amount of different pokes that are Able to learn it.

If you "fix" move like cut and rock smash, and other early game tms, you have pokemon learning op moves too early. Imo they are designed to be about on par with wat you have at that current level.

Cut, Rock Smash are fine early game moves.
Fly, Dive are fine moves ingame since the opponent won't switch out, essentially making them a base 90 Flying-type and a base 80 Water-type move respectively, aka pretty good.

Well, that is before a thunderbolt for fly, an earthquake for dig, or a surf for dive happens.

Which aren't used that much by NPCs.
And why'd you use Dive against anything which uses Surf.
And Dig isn't even an HM.

What must be changed is razor wind! The description is hurls of wind strike the opponent, and it's not flying type! This should be changed

Slurpuff, arceus, exploud, tyranitar, Sentret, nidoqueen, nidoking are all pokemon that can learn surf and have a special attacking presence That could see dive used against.

Omfg, yes. We have to make razor wind better. It's, in my opinion, the worst attacking move in the game (Other than constrict) just on how useless it is.

So we just don't give any of those pokemon surf ingame. It's not hard. (also lol@ an ingame trainer using Arceus) Anyway, to talk about something besides HMs, I think it'd be cool to change some moves to be dual typed like flying press. Muddy water and the elemental punches come to mind. It could end up being a little too gimmicky if we overdid it though.

Guys, we shouldn't change moves just to change them. >.<. This applies to suggestions like Razor Wind and Petal Blizzard. Besides a little BP buff we can't really do a lot.

Razor Wind should have vastly improved Base Power. I'd say something like 100-120. Even then, nobody would use it, but at least it would be respectable. There's always the option of essentially making it a Special Normal-type Sky Attack, to match Nintendo's flavor, but w/e. If we're looking to not make too many changes, just boost the power.

A small buff to leech life and poison sting would be nice, giving them double the base power would put leech life at mega drain standard and poison sting as terrible version of poison jab, still neither are competitive moves you just do more than 1 damage at a time
