Gotta address all of these statements one by one, in order.
Drableton
- Confusion: Just ignore the metaphorical explanation and the realistic explanation will suddenly make much more sense to you. People's minds tend to have different mindsets and I put two different explanations for different mindsets of people to understand. Probably I shouldn't have put both of them next to each other. Also, it kinda needs starting moves. It learns so little at the beginning considering you get all the TMs and tutors late-game or post-game.
- Sand Attack: Did you ever witness car tires throwing off small rocks when there's too much friction on the field? Like this I mean:
(Sorry for enormous picture and unintentional possible advertising) Drableton can spin backwards to cause a friction force with the sandy ground and as a result, some sand is thrown. It's really easy to imagine, actually, I just cannot find the right words here.
- Ice Beam: It can manipulate heat. Admittedly makes much more sense than something like tri attack or thunderbolt imo.
- Rock Slide: It's there because Devoxys said me to make the movepool uniform.
- Pain Split: I have already explained it above. "Pain Split's justification has a thing or two do with the communal life of the colony. The Nestramal always help the baby Drableton mentally, sharing their pain and recharging them with life energy - which is sacrificed from Nestramal's own energy cores - when they are resting inside its body. Though most Nestramal master this innate ability when they evolve, they start to learn sharing their life energy with other members of the community back when they are a baby (I can write a few more sentences detailing this even further, but I don't think you would like that, Kim BC, considering you don't seem to like details.). And to actually use this as a move on other Pokémon which do not even possess the energy cores, the whole evo line needs something more than an innate faculty - something to teach them how to do it, someone like a tutor." Pretty much the same logic with Heal Pulse on later evolutions.
- Counter and Earth Power: I can't fit them into level-up moves.
- No Tri Attack: Nearly everything that gets Tri Attack has some sort of three in it: Porygon line has three cores being their wings and beak; Dugtrio, Dodrio, and Hydreigon have three heads, etc. If it's still a problem, I'll put it. Just tell me where to fit it in.
Dratecta:
- Levitation: Nope. It needs that. It's like the first idea that developed in my mind- that was decided even before it was to be a Dragon type. It was before I came up with the energy cores. It was before, like, everything. I based literally everything of this mon on that: even that metaphor I've been said to be abusing. Also, why shouldn't people create bizarre concepts? Even GameFreak has many, many bizarre concepts in the first three gens. I started the whole thing like: "Let me create something that could fly, but now cannot because it cannot carry its bodyweight anymore." Then came the dragon scales. Then came the colony idea where there would be one full-evo in each colony which would act like some sort of headquarters and there would be flying things among the HQ which would be a guardian to something, something precious - which was Drableton.
- Flying type Moves: I freaking need to indicate that it flies somehow. Also, I need to fill in the level-up movepool with relevant thing other than absurd punch moves or Giga Drain etc. Furthermore, by removing nearly all these flying type moves from Nestramal further emphasizes that Nestramal cannot fly, but Dratecta can.
- Wing Attack: I understand that we want to be in the standards, but imo we are not diffrentiating ourselves enough from the main games. While I don't want extreme points like Saburo's plot to be implemented, nor do I support giving legendary-exclusive or obviously exclusive (like Fur Coat, and before you state Bulletproof, see above.) signature moves & abilities to Fakémons, why can't we break out of the standards a little? This is just not healthy. People even nerfed Spraynom and Canistox's HP to due this abhorring confine, the "reason" being no already existing poison types or steel types have high HP. Like why? Just why? Why can't something like that exist if it has never been seen before? Why not?
- Relation: It has Drableton's pattern on its belly. Furthermore, Nestramal literally has the entire thing on the tip of its tail by a x0.5 radius by radius scale.
- Stealth Rock: @whis pretty much explained it for me above when pasting the approval stamp (Many other Pokemon have little to no reasoning.). Then I came up with another "explanation", which is also above.
"The issue regarding Stealth Rocks... Well, Leafeon has actually pretty much justified it in my opinion. Many other Pokemon have little to no reasoning. However, I'll try to explain few of these small reasonings. Theoritacally Drableton, Dratecta, and Nestramal aren't the only Pokémon that chip something on their body to lay hazards.
Happiny, Chansey, and Blissey chip pieces from their egg's shell and lay these chips as rocks.
Druddigon also chips its dragon scales and lays them as rocks.
Corsola chips the coral on its back and lays a piece of it as rocks.
Geodude, Graveler, and Golem chip the rocks on their body and lay them.
Other than that, the move itself is generally given to Pokémon that have a hard, stiff body part (like the things on the Lake Trio's heads, they clearly look hard as stone), and the whole bodies of the entire Fakémon line are engulfed in hard scales, so..."
- Strange Moves: Could you specify? Do you mean Rock Slide and Rock Smash?
- Rock Smash: It can punch its way outta them.
- Why doesn't it get any other punch moves: I honestly didn't want to put more moves to the movepool.
- Defense Curl and Iron Defense: I don't see a dragon curling anymore. Also, I have to emphasize its physical durability somehow when it has only 110 base Defense due to nerfs.
Nestramal:
- Amnesia: Well I have a much more detailed explanation for this mon than most other mons out there, say like, the Regi trio, or Venusaur line.
- Flamethrower: Why not? This thing is supposed to be powerful, and this being in the starting moves further indicates that.
- Calm Mind: My metaphorical explanation for Calm Mind above is for it to be in the level-up movepool. It needs to learn it naturally to survive. Think about it as natural selection.
General:
- Friendship Value: Tbh idk. If that has never happened before, I'll make the values uniform. Gotta search it.
