Welcome to the first Mega-Evolution Competition of this project. It has a couple of stages. This is the Pokemon Nomination stage. During this stage people can nominate the Pokemon they want to see get a mega. Afterwards we'll have a voting phase, a design phase and another voting phase. In total we'll maybe do 10 new Mega's, and right now they have to be of old Pokemon. We'll reserve some spots for when the Pokemon are finished as well to give some to new Pokemon.
That said, my suggestion is Weavile

I'd like to see Mega Swalot.
How exactly would the design phase work?

I nominate Mega Parasect. Parasect is ungodly unusable in today's meta, even in PU. More than anything, I want to expand on its lore, while giving it a cool new typing, and give it some actually decent stats.
The reason for type change will be apparent in the new design: The fungus on Parasect's back has now become even larger, creating a small, canopy-like structure. It's so large, in fact, that is has completely covered all of Parasect, with only its head showing. Parasect's eyes now become dark, signifying that the bug has died (Or gone comatose during mega evolution) and the mushroom has completely taken over its body. The main body has also become a sickly purple color, and the mushroom on its back has started to bulge, ready to release its spores into the air.
New typing: Ghost/Grass (Possibly Poison/Grass instead, or even Bug/Poison)
Original Stats: 60/95/80/60/80/30 |BST: 405
Proposed Mega Stats: 60/150/120/50/120/5 |BST: 505
Proposed Abilites: Prankster, Quick Sprout (This pokemon's grass type moves have +1 priority), Megaspores ((Which is a real thing btw)) (Pokemon making contact with this pokemon have a 60% chance of getting poison/sleep/paralysis)

A Mega Scrafty would be pretty nice imo. It's alright on its own but its BST isn't too amazing, and its abilities can all be quite interesting if used in conjunction with what it mega evolves into. Maybe some more power and speed to make dragon dance a more viable option, or even just boost its defenses to wall-like levels.

My nomination is Mega Dusknoir. I'd like to think boosting it's attack, defences and giving it the ability Iron Fist will work considerably well.

I nominate Mega Noivern. Noivern has a lot of potential. A great movepool, filled with excellent moves. It has a very good speed tier already. The thing that holds it back, is its other stats, especially its SpA. Plus, there is 1 6th gen mega (Diancie), so more would be nice.
Potential Stats/Ability:

I nominate Mega-Beartic! This Polar bear must show itself more! Here's what I'm thinking: It's arms and halfway down its legs become plated with flat ice armor [three on each arm and leg, with some fur showing]. His icicles from his chin become a little longer, separate into five rather than three, and descend in a zig-zag way. Its belly fur would become darker and thicker and its white fur on the feet and arms [where there's no ice armor] would stick out. It's eyes would become dark blue and his fists would be descending upwards to show strength. There would be two icicles on his back that are also zig-zag. Claws would become longer and sharper. Feet would be slightly bigger and would have the same dark fur as his belly. His mouth would be opened a bit to show his teeth, which are now sharper. The ears are also hairier with darker fur, slightly covered in flakes of snow. Type: Ice/fighting The fighting type would be added since he can learn moves like focus punch and superpower, and since he's got huge arms that suit a fighter. I thought that we can maybe add a few more fighting moves like cross chop to make him more like a fighting type. It would be a great type combination, wouldn't it? [Open to suggestions if U prefer Beartic-mega as Ice/Dark or just plain Ice] Ability: Hoarfrost [my accepted ability If you don't know what it is, go check it out] In case you want a gamefreak ability, he'd have defiant, cuz he's an up-graded fighting bear who refuses to lose. Item: Bearticite Possible boosted stats: BEFORE ----> AFTER HP: 95 95 Att: 110 135 Def: 80 120 SpA: 70 70 SpD: 80 100 Spe: 50 65 BST: 485 585 Reasons for boosts: Attack: Blue eyes and more intimidating look, sharp claws and teeth, and strong-looking fists. 25 boost Defense: 10 for each newly ice-armored arm and leg. 40 boost Special Defense: Its new bulky and dark fur can block the cold some more due to storing heat. 20 boost Speed: Bigger legs which help in walking in snowy areas faster. 15 boost
I'll do whatever I can to improve this, cuz I really want this. Let me know what you think about it

jaywad, you can't change a pokemon's HP stat when it mega evolves. Give it 10 more points in SpD imo.

Well, you can't submit the ideas yet, but I'm fine with you posting your idea for encouragement of your idea. Cyberknight98 is right though! Feel free to discuss about the ideas and their potentials, but refrain from creating megas already unless you submitted and wanted to use an example. Also, go to Aqua's Fakemons room for a lifetime conversation!

Ok, changed the HP back, and boosted speed and SpD. by 5. Don't worry, this is literally the only mega i wanna see

Mega Dragonite
This peaceful dragon has been pushed aside for two long. With 4/7 pusedos already having megas, it would only make sense to give an icon of 1st gen a mega. Initial ideas include, a more menacing appearance, especially since dragonite is seen as the "nice guy" and a pushover.

Imo i prefer dragonite to stay as the nicest dragon out there. Mega-altaria is still nice when a mega, so he should too

Mega Milotic Water/Fairy 95/70/109/130/155/81 Ability : Pixilate and Mega Dugtrio 35/130/100/10/110/160 Ability : Dry Skin You're only able to nominate one, so which do you nominate?

Reason why for Milotic is because Gyarados had got a mega in XY but Milotic didn't in ORAS and Dugtrio is because it needs to be a bit better.

I want to nominate Nidoking
1- Can handle electric/fairy/fight types 2- It has great design potential 3- It could either have a gain at speed to minimize its main weakness(ground attacks) or have its Atk increased. Snaquaza: If it gets a mega then probably Nidoqueen would need a mega too, but i can only nominate one...

I don't think Nidoqueen needs a mega if Nidoking gets one. Gardevoir and Gallade got a mega in different games also Slowbro has one whereas Slowking does not.

@ace GF tends to release different Gen Counterpart Megas in different games. Its only a matter of time before wee see Mega Slowking and Mega Froslass. MGarde and MGallade had 1 game between them, while vanilla Gardevoir and Gallade had 1 Gen between them. If this holds true, then Slowking and Froslass should get a Mega in the next game. I know this is a lot of theorymonning, but its still some food for thought.

Yeah, that is all theory. I believe Gallade got a mega simply because of how popular it is and for something fresh to give Wally. Even if that trend is true it gives us an excuse to not have a Mega Nidoqueen.

I'd like to see Mega Golurk, as I see it would have potential as a great Mega Pokemon. The stats would be from: 89/124/80/55/80/55, to
109/154/100/60/95/65
The ability should be a new one, called Unleashed Power, which is an ability that gives Golurk a 50% chance of a 0.67 boost to his Attack stat, whenever a Pokemon makes contact with Mega Golurk. The idea for the ability was made since I sorta like Golurk's bandage, in which a pokedex entry said: "Removing the seal on its chest makes its internal energy go out of control."

Ace Sharpedo and Camerupt and considered counterparts, and they were from the same gen. Same goes with Pinsir and Heracross. Giving Nidoqueen a mega makes more sense.

I'd like to see a Mega Snorlax.
Snorlax is a fan favourite since gen 1, and although it does hove plenty of competitive potential, there are many better Pokemon out there, and it makes Snorlax hard to compete. A mega would bring Snorlax back into the competitive usefulness it had in gen 1 (and perhaps even have some more time to relax and sleep as it can stop worrying of not being too good of a Pokemon)

Ok I see something in this thread that I dont feel is right. Alot of the suggested megas are complete without a mega it designing one makes it hard. The pokemon doesnt have any options design-wise and also feels complete as its is and there is little to expand/emphasize on. Pokemon that are pair/rivaled with a pokemon that got a mega evo in the past gens are better suggestions and pokemon that are paired together to make a mega seem complete dont really seem likely. So whiscash is my favorite pokemon considering a mega evolution however i dont think many people would like a mega slot to take a forgotten pokemon into a sweeping/walling threat but would rather like a mega evo of something that has fallen from grace and would appreciate the mega to give it back its former glory. Thats right im talking about flygon. Flygon has many outlets of design improvements and has many fans across the world contributing to a fan made mega evolution. So im going off of the amazing Luxray with his video about mega flygon. and here are the boosts Flygon 80 HP /100 att/80 def/80 spa/80 spd/100 spe Flygon-mega 80 HP/145 Att/80 def/110 Spa/80 Spd/125 spe. Ability:Arena Trap [Lets flygon revenge kill easily without much problem]/Moxie[Increases its sweeping capability]/Mold Breaker[eh counters some things with levitate like rotom-w] Typing:Ground/Dragonwith this mega evolution flygon's attack and speed go to enormous heights and do a really good job of making use of his spa and now running mixed is also a viable option with attacks like draco and boomburst hitting really hard and even completely special sets doing pretty well. Not making it bug/dragon because 1 ground/dragon is much more viable as it gives really good coverage of stabs and hits really hard and 2 bug is an animal (sorta) and dragon is an animal (sorta) its seems very paradoxial to put both on a pokemon. Example set (all out Phys attacker) Flygone (Bad Puns are bad but wth) -Earthquake
- Outrage- Stone Edge
- U-Turn Checks and Counters Mega manetric kills with HP ice and scarf latios wrecks flygon as both are faster. Skarmory can wall the physical set pretty well. Obama-snowy-mega can kill him with a set up (SD) ice shard. Flygon also ultimatly loses to Trick Room as well. www.youtube.com/watch?v=LaEV8Pm_5qMAlso if you want a mega whiscash instead say it! I really just did this because a mega whiscash would get declined because bias but if you like it I would be more than happy to make one!

I nominate Mismagius. It could possibly be a Ghost/Fairy type, which is an amazing type offensively and defensively. There are so many options for it and frankly, a "powered-up" version of Mismagius looks incredible in my mind.
