The game will likely be a single game, since that's easier. What would be a good name?
Region name can be discussed as well, though it'll be voted on after the main region map is done!

Game names are usually based on the mascot legendary. For instance, a game revolving around Thundurus and Tornadus could be called Nimbus and Tempest, respectively.
A region name is best left off until we know where the region's actually going to be.

Pokemon Horizon? That sounds like it could hold an interesting plot, too

Tbh, I think we should leave this until we decide on plot and a map.

I think the name of the game should be based off of something PS! related since this would eventually become a PS official fakemons thing imo....
Pokemon Showdown Version

Sounds good actually what about just naming this game "Showdown", which I think @snackismybae meant as well. It's pretty clever since you usually use Pokemon before a game (eg Pokemon Emerald), you'd get Pokemon Showdown here, or Pokemon Showdown Version!

Pokemon Snack and Snaq Versions
Ok, my vote goes to Showdown, no better/punnier name.

Have Zarel be like the Pokemon League Champion or leader of the team and have other global staff somewhere in the game

I think us contributors should get the first dibs, then the globals

Devoxys, that might be slightly nepotistic. Honoring someone who makes PS! happen daily might be better lol.

Imo before we give the region its name i think that it we should decide first on which area to base it on. In the way that Kalos = France and Unova = Manhattan

Alphajores yeah. Once the region is decided on, then the region name would happen. Game name can still be discussed rationally.

all the cities/towns could be puns of PS rooms. For example: the biggest city could be called Bylob City [lobby] Gorner Town [game corner], etc

Personally, I'd find it a bit jarring for the game to have a serious-ish storyline, which it sounds like it's going to, and then have all the town/character names be a bunch of in-jokes, but that's just me.

@cattail, it might be super funny and unexpected. I think people would get good laughs out of going to Gorner Town when the world is about to end lmao

Here's some ideas based on this. -The sizes of towns/cities is based on the room they are based on's general popularity -Trainers can be based on players in each room, like to represent me, there could be a Vorivsurv Town (anagram of Survivor) and a trainer with a Fennekin on a route near it. Players would get to choose a couple more Pokemon/Fakemon to add to their character's team and choose their character's name and trainer class Just a couple ideas, I hope you take this into consideration and maybe use it in the full game.

I feel that the largest city should be an anagram of Smogon like Sogmon City, since it's like the official server.
But yeah, anagrams are a pretty neat idea. I could name a few ideas...

Or if we can't fit a city/town for every room we can classify them under a genre. For example, the Francais, Espanoal, Chinese, Nederlands, etc. rooms can be part of Guagelan City, with various buildings/events there representing each room.

I definitely love the idea of introducing characters in the game based on the people well known there and maybe some of their most famous dialogue from PS! might be able to come up when you are talking to that character. And people who hold importance in multiple rooms might encounter you multiple times in your journey (Sort of like how keiji convenes with you in pokemon conquest) I think this is a good idea but a question to pose here is: "Will we restrict it to the staff in each room?"
