Short Circuit: An electric-type variant of Explosion, probably a little less powerful, that can hit Ground-type Pokemon and will leave one of its surviving targets with a burn. What do you think? Leave feedback below.

sounds nice, I'm interested in what pokemon can learn it

I am not with an idea that makes electric hit ground, otherwise the move could be a self-destruct clone. But you know, i think it was made that only the norma type got such a move because most exploders arnt normal, so taking away stab still gave it a shred of balance. basicaly while i think the move is okay, i think electrode and the electric possy along with what learns self destruct is already fine without this
Edit: the burn garantee is an extreemly strong effect, and was givn to 50% accuracy moves like inferno for a reason

Not bad. Because of the 100% Burn chance, remove the part about the Ground type.

Well, i study engineering so guess i should comment this.
1st: no, it shouldnt damage or burn ground types.
2nd: i suggest it gets double power with electric terrain but removes electric terrain after usage.
3rd: burn can't be 100%, it wouldnt be balanced and usually when a component gets on fire the rest of the circuit just stops working. There are materials that may get on fire easyer so maybe a type condition? (if you have a better idea point it out!)
i like the idea, its a good one.

So what, grass has 80% chance to burn and others have 50%? this would make the role way too complicated since there's so much extra stuff this is a Video Game, Not real life

Well yeah, but the base is real life tbh. The burn chance isnt neccessary, And hitting ground is too strong. I understand this takes away what made th move unique, but the suggestion above about using electric terrain isnt bad at all. perhaps u can consider it

Honestly, this move sounds like you came up with a cool name for a move and wanted to come up with some random effect to fit it. godfather4: while you obviously don't need to study engineering to know that this move's original effect is pretty impractical and unreal, I think you what you should probably study a bit is game mechanics. What you've suggested there sounds way too complicated and insanely niche to be any use, and I think we should all spare a thought for the eventual programmers when we come up with our moves. So no, I don't think this is a good idea at all; while short circuits are cool and all, your choice of move mechanics leave a lot to be desired.

I feel like it sounds a bit OP, considering that it will hit ground-types.
