Like poison touch, except it allows for a 20% chance to poison when hit with a sp. atking move. This would allow for more sp. atking poison types to gain something out of poison, instead of needing a physical move
This could be used with weezing, koffing, dustox, venesuar, gastly, vileplume, gloom, oddish, venomoth dragalae (although the flavor is a stretch here) as well as my personal evo line pox, sitsep, and nicir.

I really like it! I think a more suited name for it is infectious as infection sounds more like a move than it does an ability. I do think that it might need to be a bit debuffed as it makes more sense that a physical move would poison on contact rather than just special moves. I would recommend changing it to 20% but it looks good other than that.

This looks pretty awesome! Although most of the existing Pokemon you suggested already have great abilities (and that Vileplume, Gloom, Oddish, Venomoth, Dragalage, and Venusaur are not really sickness like Pokemon), this would work really well with your Fakemon. I think you should decrease the chance to 25%, as I find that special attacks have a bit less risk to them (aka Static, Rough Skin, Rocky Helmet, etc.).

The reason its 30 is to match poison point and poison touch, but definitely Up to lower it if it seems unvalanced. Suggested thos grass/poison types is because they deal with spores of sorts. Would of added shromish but effect spore works better

I'd call it "Viral". Besides that, it seems like an okay Ability.
However, you cannot add abilities to existing Pokemon. Any Pokemon that already have a HA already have one, and any that don't have one aren't going to get one.

I know the chance of that happening galom are slim. However, the origional post mentioned listing pokemon/fakemon that could use this ability. So I did.

1. Perhaps change the percentage to 10% because generally there is a drawback with moves which make contact in that they can be affected by Flame Body, Poison Point, Iron Barbs, Rocky Helmet, etc... A special move without these certain limitations/drawbacks should be have less percentage to balance it out (unless abilities for special moves like Iron Barbs are made...) 2. Change the name to something else. Viral, Infectious, etc all seemed like good ones suggested by other users.

EDIT: changed the name to match popular opinion. Added a poll to see what percentage the forum would most think is balanced. Changed percentage to 15 as a placeholder.

There is another ability that might be approved which is like Iron Barbs but for non-contact moves! So this would definitely be an option now with the current percentage that is voted 20%.

My main question is: why do we need this. I think it's a decent ability, but covered by others (as the ones you listed in the OP). It seems kinda unnecessary and we can better spend our abilities with more creative ones. Additionally the Koffing and the Ghastly line must have Levitate anyway.

At this point it seems more fitted to become a signature ability. Since pox, sitsep, and nicir are physically defensive and special attacking, poison point and poison touch are poor fits. Most will try to target the weaker special defense and not activate poison point while this evo line is not geared to use moves to take advantage of poison touch. It needs something that fits it better then the two existing abilities Snaquaza

Just make it match Poison Touch at 30%. It'd make the most sense.

Just make it match Poison Touch at 30%. It'd make the most sense. It originated at 30, but was moved down to 20 since physical attackers have more of a risk of iron barbs, rocky helmet, rough skin, and flame body to name a few, while special attackers have almost no risk while attacking. Also, this move was primarily to give a weak offensive typing, which is primarily physical, some special attacking presence. The infectious nature of disease fits well into sickness and the poison typing, which was the starting concept behind both this and the Nicir line Snaquaza

Galom, Snaquaza please lock this thread. With Sitsep & Nicir turning physical, there are no pokemon that need this.
