Just keep it as a Flame Burst (vemon burst?) clone imo. No need for anything special.
Why is this necessary? A Burst of Poison doesn't make as much sense as a Fire or Psychic Energy Burst.

We've buffed Poison considerably already (aka Intoxicate, which I've checked and it is supposed to be approved, just everyone forgot it existed). And are you saying Sludge Wave and Sludge Bomb aren't enough? Your move is really close to what Sludge Bomb is already. Finally, please stop thinking about this competitively, then tell me if this is needed.

Sure:
-Just make this a Flame Burst clone imo. 70 BP, 100% Acc, No poison chance. The only moves that should have burst damage are ____ Burst moves.
-You can't have base 10 PP iirc
The problem is, that this is not a completely bad idea, but it is unnecessary. A burst of flames is understandable. A burt of Psychic Energy (Psycho Burst someone in the moves section) makes sense. But I don't see Poison doing the same. Its a liquid, it won't "burst". Finally, this has similarities to Sludge Bomb. Both are bomb/blast moves, boths have similar flavour, both have similar BP, both are special, etc. We have 2 competing special Poison type moves already: Sludge Bomb and Sludge Wave. Adding a third one seems unnecessary.

I have to agree with Devoxys here (why arnt u a mod yet man?), This move is too similar to sluge bomb, and sludge wave is already a spread move. Any attempts to make a special poison type move is very hard as bp has to stray away from 90s , it cant be spread, and it cant have a high poison chance since all of these are caracteristics of a known poison type move. I think thats why he said it's uncalled for. being original with special poison type moves is hard |
