Maybe combine it with ideas from another animal. Pokemon are rarely exactly a copy of an animal. Didn't see above. Tentacles..?

Think shuckle's appendages but with holes at each end where spikes pop out.

So... how can I make Antonize's design more "Dark-Like"? I've enlisted the help of my friend tinymeowmix to draw some concept art. I really would like to keep the typing...

Its appearance is largely up to you. I'm having trouble telling what its going to look like from your explanation, so I cannot approve it as is. Either give a better description or draw a simple sketch to help us.

It's a spider?

^I think only four of those are it's legs. The longer ones are tentacles, I assume.

Snaquaza, not really. It has two body segments like a spider, but the similarities stop there. Like Ace said, the four longer "legs" are where the retractable claws lay.

*Sigh* There's always a problem, isn't there? ...Yes, it sort of looks like a spider, but this is pretty close to what I envisioned in my head. And what's wrong with it looking similar to a spider? Earlier you said this fakemon shouldn't be just a human sized ant, and it's not! Nor is it just a human-sized spider. It's my own creation, inspired by real life animals.

If it's not a spider, then it must be a combination of a spider and a scorpion.

jaywad, it was inspired by Army Ants, Spiders, and scorpions. Army Ants made up the original idea, with the swarm idea and many characteristics like large, powerful jaws. The two body segments are shared with arachnids, spiders and scorpions, and the tail is reminiscent of a scorpion's tail. However, only Antonize has the tail, Antagon does not.

Ok, I get the scorpion and Spider parts, but where does the ant part come in? is it supposed to be the way the legs are? Also where would the tentacles be a relation? Btw it's only a little criticism. Sorry if it may seem rough but that's how criticism comes.

The ant part may be more obvious with Antagon's design. It was really more the mindset of the hive/swarm when it comes to relation to ants. And yes, the legs are based off an Ant's.

I feel that if the legs are a bit shorter, it'd look fine. Though I can't see it being that speedy then. Sorry for the critique but right now it just looks more like a spider than an ant.
Either way, how does it show its Dark-typing. I may overlook it, but how did you envision it in this design?

The drawing isn't in color, obviously, but its main color is black, with red eyes and the slashes on its back are red. One thing that is a bit wrong with the drawing is that it's a liiiitle too fat. It should be a little narrower and longer, but I digress.

Why does this learn Aqua Tail. Anyway I think the main idea is fine, so I'll Approve 1/2. I agree with what you said in the above post, but we'll work on finalizing the art some other time. Right now the main appearence is alright.

Ehh... To be honest, Aqua tail was just to show that Antonize had grown a large, powerful tail... I know it doesn't make too much sense, but tons of non-water types learn aqua tail like Arbok or Aerodactyl.

ah, you're right... I don't think the move tutor teaches aqua tail in ORAS, so I'll remove it.
