Name of the Item: Bellow Flute Effect: Boosts wind based moves by 1.33x. Description: A flute shaped like a bellow that is said to boost the power of wind based moves. Moves Boosted: Razor Wind, Fairy Wind, Silver Wind, Ominous Wind, Dragon Breath, Frost Breath, Hurricane, Heat Wave, Leaf Storm, Magma Storm, Air Cutter, Aeroblast, Air Slash, Gust, Icy Wind, Ice Burn, Glaciate, Twister, Leaf Tornado etc (everything that involves wind and air). Tailwind lasts longer. Can be Stolen or Knocked Off: YES Fling BP: 60 EDIT: Name changed from Table Fan to Bellow Flute. EDIT2: Added Aeroblast, Air Slash, Leaf Storm, Magma Storm, Gust, Icy Wind, Dragon Breath, Frost Breath, Ice Burn(The desc is: 'On the second turn, an ultracold, freezing wind surrounds the target. This may leave the target with a burn.'), Tailwind, Glaciate, Twister, Leaf Tornado and Air Cutter to 'Wind Based' Moves list. Tailwind lasts for 6 turns, not 4 turns, when used by a Pokemon with Bellow Flute. Inferno removed from the list. EDIT3: Ice Burn is confirmed to be boosted by Bellow Flute. Thnx for all who contributed in finishing this! Snaquaza Ace Twix Galom

Could you deine "wind based moves"? If its just flying type moves then I don't really see the point of this.

Interesting, although probably warrants a better name, I can't imagine a Pokemon carrying around a Table Fan.

I think you should do whirlwind last longer and not give it priority

This is a nice idea, but table fan as the item doesn't really sound quite right. Not too sure if inferno is a wind move, but you need to find some sort of way of creating a definition for what a "wind move" is. Thinking about it, it seems more like something that would be an item than an ability tbh, such as Iron Fist, only boosting a certain type of move. A name would also be more apparent if it were an ability I would feel. Something like Gale Wings would have been cool, if it didn't already exist for something else.

I like the concept with this move, but Table Fan does not sound right for a pokemon item. I honestly can't think of a better name off the top of my head, but I will edit one in if it comes to mind.

I like this item, but yeah, the name. I was thinking Bellow Flute. (a bellow used to move air, although not generally considered fans. A hand-operated bellows is essentially a bag with a nozzle and handles, which can be filled with air by one movement, and the air expelled by another.) and the flute part just makes it sound more like a Pokemon item

Something involving "bellows" does sound cool. Well, better tha table fan at least. I'm tempted to suggest "gust bellows" as a name, but that's an item in Smash Brothers (originally from LoZ iirc, or maybe its original for that game idk). A random thought I had would be what if the item didnt buff the moves power, but instead gave all wind moves the whirlwind effect, reducing their priority and causing the opponent to switch out. Probably OP and crazy af, but its approaching 2am so eh, its just food for thought from my sleep deprived brain really.

Seems excess to boost flying type moves, especially when there's already sharp beak and sky plate. It might be cool to boost "wind-based" moves, but like Devoxys said, you'll need to define "wind-based".

kizzo212 and Saburo, ill change the name to 'Bellow Flute' cause i agree with you. and Hounds & Devoxys, wind based moves are those which use wind/air in some manner. I m thinkin bout adding leaf storm to this.

I think this looks pretty good now, the name change to Bellow Flute is so much better, and the concept of it boosting Wind-Based moves is pretty interesting, and gives it coverage to be used with a wide variety of Pokemon if you're including Leaf Storm and Inferno. I'll wait until you have a completed list of Moves which classify as "Wind-Based" before I comment further.

Is Ice Burn a suggested move? Add a link to it if it is.

I would add just 2 to this movepool that I can think of right now; Leaf Tornado and Twister. Other than that, it's a great item and could be marked as finished quite soon.
EDIT: I would say to keep Ice Burn, it's a freezing wind that surrounds the target and may leave the target with a burn.

Np, the item looks a lot better now that we understand what wind-based moves are. This seems like a really unique item. Good work on this Salamencizer

Don't add that it makes Tailwind last longer, as it's pretty unneeded, but other than that good work. Approved 1/2.

Rejected 1/2 . I've said this very often and to me there are just too many stuff that boost a certain category of moves. It just gets boring and repetitive to me. Maybe Ace or Galom will think otherwise though.
Edit: Btw, I'm sorry. This isn't an inherently bad idea to me, but there's been a flood of these.

Rejected 2/2. Sick of seeing these move-style power boosting items and abilities. Nothing personal to you or this move, it's just horrendously overdone.
Thread locked.
