How does this work with shadow tag?

It would work like how Roar/U-turn works against Shadow Tag. Actually, how it would go is: Pokemon B uses an attack, Pokemon A takes damage, Pokemon A uses this move, inflicts damage on B, then both players switch out. Since both players switch out at the same time, there's no benefit for switching in last. Shadow Tag doesn't really prevent things like U-turn/Volt Switch/Baton Pass/Roar/Whirlwind, so I don't see why it should prevent this. But good question though!

I could see this on some Fairy-types as well such as Clefable line or Wigglytuff line.

I think the fact that you can switch back in and use this move again makes the heaviest voted option, grand finale, not make that much sense.
The fact that both pokemon are switched out is actually pretty nice. I can't really say much about it.
I think anything that performs, not just phychic types, should be able to get this.
edit: more on the name
I voted for curtain trick, though I don't like it that much either. I would've voted for vanish trick had it been vanishing trick instead. Final act is like a not-as-cool Grand Finale, but Curtain Warp is ok too I guess..

The sing line is a bit too large in my opinion for it, but I'll add some more mons that get it on the way, in addition I'm actually hosting another poll for this move's name. I buffed the Base power from 70 to 75. o3o.

Voted for 'Vanish Trick' but I think 'Vanishing Act' would be a much better name. Better than Grand Finale even. In terms of the move itself I think you could stand to make it a tad more powerful if you reduce its PP; something like 90 would be fairly reasonable (imo) considering it's a -6 priority move.

I really like the idea and it seems like would be pretty interesting. One thing that sprung to mind would maybe dropping the accuracy very slightly, even just to 95%. It just makes sense in my mind, as the pokemon could muck up his trick and fail, but idk. If anything it just adds a tiny bit of risk to the move. This isn't really a strong suggestion, just something relatively random that came to mind, so it would be interesting to see what people think of it.

I like the idea of lowering some accuracy, as sometimes Tricks don't work. Even if it's only to 90% or 95% it adds a tiny bit of risk there.

Vanishing Act sounds pretty nice.
Also, I agree with Psych that decreasing evasion by 5-10% would make a lot more sense flavor wise, and if you make it 90% acc that'll match dragon tail and circle throw? Whatever the fighting version is.

I made a bit of a change, increasing the Base Power to 80, but making it 95% accurate =o. Anyway, name's been decided, and it's Vanishing Act.

What about Hoopa-U and Hoopa? Both mons can 'Vanish' yet they can't Encore/Sing? Imo, this can be given to Hoopa

I feel like some Ghost types (Gengar, Mismagius, Banette) should get this move, and maybe a fakemon like Jestrix (not approved yet) could as well.

If you need more pokes that can learn this move maybe consider Psychic/Ghost/(maybe dark?) types that learn Encore + Trick or Switcheroo

I'm going to ask for approval now, if that's okay. Galom, Ace, Snaquaza, thoughts on this?

Yeah, it's a neat concept; I really like the creativity here. Is there a particular Pokemon or Fakemon you were going to associate this move with, or is it very general? I just want to know your thought process behind the move, since it's very different from anything I've seen before.

Usually I get ideas out due to random bouts of inspiration. After seeing Jestrix/That other dark/fairy mon, and the fact that "Special Phazing" doesn't exist yet, this came into my mind. What if you could combine Whirlwind + U-turn in one way or another? That would totally change the momentum of the playing field by quite a lot. I was also planning on a Psychic Fakemon, which is still in development, and I want it to have this move. Psychic because, y'know, magic acts and curtains. But anyway, after looking at things Galom, I think this move is ready for approval as of now.

I'd like to see the other RO's opinions on this before I approve. It's a very "out there" move, and while I think it's reasonable, there may be flaws that I am missing in it.

I'm loving the idea! There hasn't been a move that switches both users out of the battle, so it's a pretty neat idea A ! Just waiting for more mons who can be able to learn this
