This is a mediocre idea I had a while back, after finding this forum I think it's worth sharing. Not sure if it's that great though.
The name is definitely WIP. Need help with that.
Effect: If the user is hit by the same move repeatedly, the damage of that move is lowered by xx% (I was thinking 20) each turn.
This ability is essentially the opposite of Rythmic.
Flavorwise, I was thinking this could go on Pokemon/Fakemon that have a "bored" personality (Something like Snorlax, though not necessarily Snorlax)
I think this ability would be kinda broken if the user had reliable recovery. Thoughts?

Would be slightly broken, maybe if you made it only physical attacks or something. Actually no physical Pokemon would still be OP with this, umm maybe lower attack and special attack?

By that I mean the ability is still in affect but the user gets its attack and special attack dropped by a stage if a move is used twice in a row, thoughts?

I think this ability isn't that broken. Just make sure it has under 100 (under 90 would be great) in each defense and it should be fine.

I really like this idea but i think it's posted at the wrong place.
Anyway: At 1st i'd say decreasing by 1 stage is better because it works with percentages. However, this would be a problem as big as your idea of reducing 20 each turn for the same reason: It's a stackable effect BUT it's not considered as status. This means we'd have to keep tracking data while the turns pass but with a complicated condition to program. This is not good.
So let's look in another direction: What this ability does competitively speaking? Pros: It reduces slightly the menace of STAB dependant pokemons, reduces considerably the menace of multiple hit moves (like double chop) or moves that lock the user (like outrage). It also reduces menace from Chansey. Cons: It's countered massively by protean users.
So after thinking about the above id suggest this: Shape memory [this exists in some metal alloys so if the ability is for a steel pokemon its fine(only idea i had for the name)] Effect: If the user is damaged by a move this turn that move has its BP reduced by half for the next turn.
