Ok, I had this idea when my cresselia was crushed by a dark type in doubles. It had a 3x calm mind and just, died. So, for this ability, if a pokemon with avenge faints, the next pokemon that enters would gain the stat boosts of the fainted pokemon for 1 turn only.
For example: Cresselia used calm mind > Sharpedo used crunch > cresselia fainted > gardevoir is sent in and gets the calm mind > gardevoir uses a 1.5x moonblast and kills sharpedo > calm mind goes away after the turn ends.
This ability imo would not be too strong, and i would the limit the pokemon getting this with only 2 partially useful stat raising moves and double team When the pokemon with the ability faints, the ability name would flash and the text would say "Cresselia waits for the next team member to avenge it".
Pokemon who get this [and boosted Moves]: Cresselia: Calm mind, Double Team, Charge Beam Gengar Line: Power up punch, Curse, Double team. Escavalier: double team, swords dance, iron defense

I think its an interesting Idea, essentially what you have here is a Baton Pass that is gauranteed. Keeping the stat boost for 1 turn makes sense as a penalty, another option for this ability is to:
1. Change the Stat Boost To Be Permanent Until The Pokemon Who Made Cresselia Faint Is Defeated Or Until The Pokemon With The Stat Boost Switches Out.
2. The Ability Only Activates When The Pokemon is KO'd By A Super Effective Move Or By A 1HitKO move.
3. You Cannot Switch Into A Pokemon Who Has "Avenger" As Their Ability So As To Prevent A Chain Of "Avenger" Abilities Being Used.
Overall though I Think This Is An Interesting Ability And It Could Make Some Frail Pokemon Useful In A New Way.

Thanks for the reply SirMinun ^-^ . I do like the point of it being permanent after a super effective move or 1KO move, but i fear that it may be too OP if it stays permanent. Also, tbh i did mean to put that pokemon with avenge do not gain a boost once sent in due to them being avengees and not avengers. I'll add that rn. Also, I limited the pokemon here to only three Pokemon who get this. First is Single legend, second is a three line, and i'm thinking the third should be a two line. do u have a suggestion?

For A Two Line Karrablast & Escavalier: Swords Dance/Iron Defense/Double Team Petilit & Liligant: Growth/Quiver Dance/Double Team/ Nosepass & Probopass: Harden/Iron Defense/Rock Polish/ Chingling & Chimecho: Calm Mind/Double Team/Curse/Defense Curl These Are Some That I Would Personaly Consider. They Arent All Too Powerful, I Hope This Helps.

Why don't you give this to all of the candidates? They all make sense.

This is a powerful ability, its best to keep it to a single Pokemon.

Devoxys if i were to keep it to a single pokemon, then which one do you suggest should have it?

So this is essentially Baton Pass but you don't even have to use the actual move? Feel like that's a bit too overpowered. This should only be received by one Fakemon, or a line of them, that gets very few setup moves (one or two at best).

Salient well, it's actually baton pass for one turn, and then the stat boosts go away, kind of like how retaliate wont work after the turn it's sent in. And it only works if the pokemon with stat boosts dies. Also, between gengar, cresselia, and escavalier, who should get it in your opinion?

Give this to a Fakemon instead. And, I guess it could work, but it might be difficult to implement.
