Design: The larva is pretty similar to the fully grown insect, but doesn't have the shield-like wings, instead having a more rounded, circular body. Also maybe more orange-yellow as opposed to brown. Alternative route would be to make the larvae light blue and the evolution a darker blue.

I can see it being pretty similar to the real-life insect, its overal body shape being similar to a shield, but maybe make the "X" pattern on its body (caused by the wings) a bit more apparent. Also, possibly some added dark blue colouration to reinforce how it is a water type.

Any reason why it can learn Gastro acid?
To evolve at 39 is relatively high in my opinion would rather like to have it around 25-35 tbh.
Picture for body shape.
Is venoshock a poison move? if so why does this learn it?

Just for a comparison, rexthegamer, Joltik evolves at level 36, Dwebble at 34, Larvesta at 59. So it's not too out of the picture, but yeah I'll lower to 34

Gastro Acid was just because mons like Galvantula, Accelgor, Shuckle get it. Also for Belostomidae (what its based on) it says "They then strike, injecting a powerful digestive saliva", whether that really fits gastro acid idk. Venoshock is also much the same boat with lots of bug type mons getting it, (Accelgor, Beautifly, Butterfree, Forretress, Heracross, Mothim, Parasect, Scizor, Shuckle, Vespiquen, Wormadam). And the digestive saliva is poisonous so there's that. As for the level it evolves I think I just picked a random level so don't mind it being altered.
