I can see it being pretty similar to the real-life insect, its overal body shape being similar to a shield, but maybe make the "X" pattern on its body (caused by the wings) a bit more apparent. Also, possibly some added dark blue colouration to reinforce how it is a water type.

come off of its elbows like wings and it has a very long tail that is slightly on fire, it is mostly covered in armor however some
spikes come of its back which are 100% Bone. Its mostly silver armour however its skin is dark red. Plus it stands on its hind legs all the time.
