Hope I'm doing this right!
- Name: Boulder Bite - Type: Rock - Category: Physical - PP: 15 (base) 24 (max) - Power: 65 / 70 / 75 / 80 (See Poll) - Accuracy: 100% - Priority: 0 - Target: Adjacent - Makes Contact: Yes - Description: The user chomps the foe with force equal to that of a boulder. - Secondary Effect: None.
- Affected by Protect: Yes - Affected by Magic Coat: No - Affected by Snatch: No - Affected by King's Rock: Yes - Affected by BrightPowder: Yes - Affected by Strong Jaw: Yes
- Pokemon: Aerodactyl, Steelix family, Tyranitar family, Lairon, Aggron, Torterra, Bastiodon, Garchomp, Hippowdon, Rhyperior family, Heatran, Krookodile, Tyrantrum family
There are three reasons I made this move - one, for a decent 100% accurate physical rock type move, two, a STAB Strong Jaw-boosted move for Tyrantum, and three, a decent contact move for Mega Aerodactyl. The reason the BP is higher than other 'Fang' moves is mainly because of the description which implies it should be stronger. I set 80 as the limit as that is the power of Crunch. Most Pokemon that get the move visually have large jaws/teeth/fangs or look like they have the strength to do it, and are either Steel, Rock or Ground type.
Thanks for reading!

If this move is made just for Strong Jaw/competitive purposes, then I don't see the point. Its way too similar to Rock Slide. Rock Slide is 75 BP and has a 90% Acc., but in turn it has a 30% flinch chance. If we decrease the BP to 65, its better off a fang move, and if we decrease it to 60, Smack Down is similar and has a cooler effect. This move would only benefit 3 Pokemon: Mega Aerodactyl, Tyrunt and Tyrantrum. The others don't need it (Defensive Pokemon, Heatran) or prefer the higher base power of Stone Edge.

I have reasons for the move at the bottom of the OP. I'm not sure why its so similar to Rock Slide if it has higher accuracy and no secondary effects, but that is why I added a poll to see which Base Power people want it to be. If it was 80, then it wouldn't be so similar, I guess. The Pokemon I'm giving to aren't entirely for the benefits, but for the flavor instead as I explained.

Well since its only for specific Pokemon, how about making this a signature move? Also since its a Bite move, try to consider making it have a 10% chance to flinch or lower defense like the original moves Bite and Crunch.

megagallade You built it as a move to bump up the viability of Mega Aero and Tyrantrum/Tyrunt. Then you added more Pokemon based on flavour. As a bite move, it would be a lot more flavourful to have a flinch chance or something. If this were, a fang move, then it still wouldn't have perfect accuracy. I wouldn't mind this being a Crunch clone if you reduce the Pokemon that get it to only Aero, Tyrantrum Family, and perhaps Aggron and TTar

Boulder Chomp: Base 55 and 100% accurate, doubles on landed pokemon? I feel like a bite move makes it only so only few pokemon would get it and you would have to follow the move standards as the other bite moves. This is an acrobatic clone and differentiates itself from other rock moves.

I've only got one vote on the poll and if you want the base power changed I suggest you vote on it, that's the reason I put it there. x-x I'll add a flinch chance if it's 65-70 base power, and a 20% defense drop (like Crunch) if it's 75-80. That's my plan and I'll wait till the poll ends. Not sure about limiting the Pokemon that get it if it is a Crunch clone... they all make flavour sense. Any reason in particular? I'm not sure the different between a chomp and a bite, but either way they'll still be boosted by Strong Jaw so I doubt I'd change it to something so different.
Thanks for the feedback!

This move is a bit wierd to me. I can't see anybody using it apart from tyrantrum
