Welcome to the cover legend competition. There will be one, so if you want it to be linked to other Pokemon, make sure it's the Trio leader, or the last of them anyway.
This is just like normal submissions, but only one is able to be approved, so make sure you do your best and create the best thing you can! You can make one signature ability and one signature move which will be approved together with the Pokemon! Happy posting. You may use any explanation you like.

Temponae (From Tempo, Italian for time and Aranea, Latin for spider, but then inversed. Could also relate to aether, in its spacetime split) Temponae would be a giant spider, locked in an "infinite" chamber in spacetime. It produces many strings which connect all matter, antimatter and dark matter in the universe and without it everything would be separate and in chaos. Its cave would be filled with huge strings of web, but they should quickly become thinner until they're not visible. Typing: Bug / Psychic Stats: 100/110/90/130/100/150 Ability: Safety Net (Safety Net prevents Temponae from being knocked out in any way the turn it switches in. Attacks still hit it, but it'll always survive the turn with at least 1 HP damage, so even with status or hazards.) Move: Temporal String (Bug-type, 85 BP, 10 PP, 100% Accuracy, Lowers Target's Speed by 1, Target: Any One Foe, No Contact, Affected by Protect and Clones, Affected by King's Rock, Not Affected by Snatch, Not Affected by Magic Coat) Movepool Level-Up Start (1): String Shot Start (1): Confusion 7: Agility 13: Ancient Power 19: Spider Web 26: Psybeam 33: Bug Bite 40: Encore 50: Temporal String 60: Imprison 70: Sticky Web 80: Psychic 90: Heal Block 100: Future Sight These moves are all quite standard. Many STAB moves, and some fitting status moves. I added Ancient Power since many legendaries get it, it lives in a cave and has existed for a long time. Future Sight is the last move since it connects pieces of time too. Not much special to see here. Small movepool since many cover legends have small level up ones, strangely. TMs/HMs TM03: Psyshock TM04: Calm Mind TM06: Toxic TM09: Venoshock TM10: Hidden Power TM12: Taunt TM15: Hyper Beam TM16: Light Screen TM17: Protect TM20: Safeguard TM21: Frustration TM24: Thunderbolt TM25: Thunder TM26: Earthquake TM27: Return TM28: Dig TM29: Psychic TM30: Shadow Ball TM32: Double Team TM33: Reflect TM34: Sludge Wave TM36: Sludge Bomb TM40: Aerial Ace TM41: Torment TM42: Facade TM44: Rest TM46: Thief TM48: Round TM49: Echoed Voice TM52: Focus Blast TM53: Energy Ball TM54: False Swipe TM60: Quash TM63: Embargo TM65: Shadow Claw TM66: Payback TM67: Retaliate TM68: Giga Impact TM70: Flash TM73: Thunder Wave TM76: Struggle Bug TM77: Psych Up TM78: Bulldoze TM80: Rock Slide TM81: X-Scissor TM83: Infestation TM84: Poison Jab TM85: Dream Eater TM86: Grass Knot TM87: Swagger TM88: Sleep Talk TM89: U-Turn TM90: Substitute TM92: Trick Room TM94: Secret Power TM96: Nature Power TM97: Dark Pulse TM100: Confide I gave it quite some coverage here. Most legendaries go past the limits for coverage, so I gave it most things that I could see a spider do in some way. I notably excluded Fire, Ice and most Rock-type moves, since they are not fitting. I kept Rock Slide though since it lives in a cave and can probably cause it to change, and so cause rocks to come loose. I don't think anything too controversial is here. HM01: Cut HM04: Strength HM06: Rock Smash Just those that fit it, I gave it Strength since its quite "powerful" unlike the other spiders. Its feet can Cut. Tutor - Covet - Bug Bite - Bounce - Signal Beam - Super Fang - Seed Bomb - Gunk Shot - Last Resort - Magic Coat - Block - Electroweb - Earth Power - Zen Headbutt - Foul Play - Superpower - Gravity - Dark Pulse - Bind - Snore - Knock Off - Role Play - Giga Drain - Gastro Acid - Helping Hand - After You - Magic Room - Wonder Room - Spite - Recycle - Trick - Endeavor - Sleep Talk - Skill Swap - Snatch Quite a lot of tutor moves! I used the same logic as for TMs / HMs. Miscellaneous Information Appearance: Its body has the shape of a spider, which is a bit orange-y (though the artist may change this if he feels he has a better idea) with black stripes. There may be some rough spikes or irregularities on its skin, but I'll let that be decided by the artist. Its legs are quite large, so that it is quite large if it stands upright. Additionally there are small puffs of whitish hair on its "knees". Its face looks quite vicious and it has two large teeth. Of course its "behind" is quite large and there should be a clear place where the string comes out, probably a large black circle. Sorry if this is vague, but it should be better with an artist who'll be found if this wins. It may even change a bit to what seems good to him. Location: It lives in a cobweb / string filled spiral cave which is hidden in spacetime. Gender ratio: No Gender Catch Rate: 3 Egg Cycles: 120 Height: 3.6 Meters Weight: 178.0 Kilograms Pokedex Number: Unknown as of now. Base Experience Yield: 306 Leveling Rate: Slow EV Yield: 3 Speed Body Form: Footprint: (Or similar) Pokedex Color: Yellow Base Friendship: 0 Species: The Strings Pokemon Pokedex Entry (Open for suggestions): Temponae lives in a distortion of spacetime. It created a huge network of strings which connected everything there is. Without Temponae, no interaction would be possible. Flavor Description:

Courdura [from French cœur (heart) and Spanish armadura (armour)] Typing: Flying/Steel Stats: 100 HP | 90 Attack | 150 Defence | 90 S.Attack | 150 S.Defence | 100 Speed Species: The Redemption Pokémon Appearance: TO BE WORKED UPON Concept: Courdura represents balance between types of warfare by symbolising universal defence while the other two in the trio would represent Attack and Special Attack, respectively. The idea of it being the Redemption Pokémon would play by this little fable I made in relation to Courdura: In times of great crisis, The Great Bird would return through the Ripple And face the Redeemer in combat. Should they win, our race shall prosper. Should they lose, the Great Bird shall unleash its wrath. There is no redemption for us. Relation to story: The antagonist would desire its power of their own gain and would challenge you for the place of the Redeemer once they perform a ritual of sorts to appear.

Zalcoat (Based off of Quetzalcoatl, and is open to discussion) Typing: Flying / Ghost This typing was chosen because Quetzalcoatl was a god of death and rebirth (among it's other roles), which fits the ghost type. The flying is basically because it had wings. Abilities: Pressure / Overcoat Stats: 100 / 95 / 150 / 140 / 85 / 100 (670 Total) Appearance: Zalcoat is a giant ghostly winged serpent, similar in appearance to this: fc00.deviantart.net/fs47/f/2009/194/8/6/Quetzalcoatl___Kukulcan_by_GENZOMAN.jpgBut much less solid. Relation to story: Team evil is capturing and sacrificing Pokemon in an attempt to gain the attention of Zalcoat, which they hope to use to gain control over the region.

DesignDesign: Asian Dragon, likes to stay in one big circle. The outside is Blue and Green (like water and land), the middle is Brown-Red (for the crust), and the underside is Red, Yellow, and Orange (for the molten core). The tail is is in the mouth unless when moving or attacking, where it is in a smaller, incomplete circle so that the head and the claws are exposed. ExplanationTerranima is an dragon (GF has no pattern of saying what is a dragon and what isn't a dragon (like Altairia is somehow a dragon but Charizard and Gyarados aren't)) living in the Earth's Core. Every planet has its own Terranima. Terranima stay dormant with its tail in its mouth, only awakening when an extremely major event happens, or if it is somehow disturbed. Terranima's type reflects the state of the planet. Despite being a powerful being, it can be easily controlled if somehow coaxed out of its dormant state. As it is pretty much the "soul" of the planet, whatever changes the planet changes Terranima, and vice versa.
From a story perspective: Terranima is a very flexible Pokemon when it comes to a story. Elemental War, changing elements, Water, Fire, Grass, etc. can reflect that. For a death god story, Dark Type Terranima can be used. Warring Powers? Dragon Type. Industry, Deterioration? Steel and Poison types. The End of the World can be portrayed by a diseased Terranima. We can always lock Terranima's type in the game to the type that the story uses, then we can do a Coliseum/XD purification process to "unlock" Terranima. Status: To be updated.

Just something to point out, Terranima would make the game need to have many various storylines for each of the 18 types. Of course, this could be resolved just by changing the dialogue for each scenario, but if that does not happen, and the game becomes so in depth that it will take years to complete, this project will fail.

No we just use the appropriate type for the story. And then to unlock the ability/move you purify it like in Coliseum/XD

Final SubmissionKreshnaru (from Krishna, one of Vishnu's incarnations; creche, a word for a nest; and 'aru' from G'aru'da) (I'm not entirely satisfied with this atm, it looks a bit too ordinary for a legendary right now, extra set of wings notwithstanding); this will likely get redrawn if it wins Type: Flying HP: 85 Atk: 140 Def: 95 Spa: 105 Spd: 95 Spe: 150 Ability: Poison Ward: this pokemon and its teammates are immune to poison Move: Vengeful Talon: Flying type, BP 90, Acc 95, PP 10, doubles in power if the target has koed a pokemon Dex entry: According to legend, Kreshnaru has been flying high overhead for centuries without touching the ground, watching over the lives of both people and pokemon. I tried to reflect this in Kreshnaru's movepool, giving it moves that help protect its teammates as well as strong physical attacks. Garuda and its image are also said to protect from poison, inspiring the ability.

Flavour Text: This Pokemon, while rarely seen, is fantasized to be held in a chamber deep in the underworld. It is never to be let out, as it may be used as a weapon of mass destruction, due to its destructive and uncaring (for life) nature. Unlike Yveltal, it is not the embodiment of death, it merely feeds off it as energy. It is said, in order not to be returned to his Hell Chamber, he shape-shifts into any Pokemon around him, making any sightings or artistic depictions of him extremely rare and valuable. In <region name> mythology, it also states that the only Pokemon capable of damning Ophiva back to where it came from is Arceus himself. Storywise: I see him as being used as the game's main antagonist, or atleast, a major obstacle in which the evil team (if we're using that plot) captures this Pokemon and uses it for themselves. This took me a bit to do, so any criticism and thoughts are greatly appreciated! I hope you all enjoy it. -NotMo

Added in the word aether (material that fills the region of the universe above the terrestrial sphere). I'm digging the ability, seems like a good niche for it. The signature move is like any standard legendary signature move which is fine. I find the level-up moveset to be a tad bland, although the TMs/HMs make up for this... a lot of variety there. Design wise I think a spider legendary is extremely original so kudos for thinking that up. I'll try and think of a Pokedex Entry for it.

Temponea (From Tempo, Italian for time and Aranea, Latin for spider) Temponea would be a giant spider, locked in an "infinite" chamber in spacetime. It produces many strings which connect all matter, antimatter and dark matter in the universe and without it everything would be separate and in chaos. Its cave would be filled with huge strings of web, but they should quickly become thinner until they're not visible. Typing: Bug / Psychic Stats: 100/110/90/130/100/150 Ability: Safety Net (Safety Net prevents Temponea from being knocked out in any way the turn it switches in. Attacks still hit it, but it'll always survive the turn with at least 1 HP damage, so even with status or hazards.) Design wise I think a spider legendary is extremely original so kudos for thinking that up. I'll try and think of a Pokedex Entry for it. Thanks for the reply! I agree that the Pokedex Entry isn't as good as it can be, was kinda stuck on making it original and referring to its powers. That said, I found that the level-up moveset had to be bland. I had to put some standard moves in there, as there were some moves (Think Spider Web, Sticky Web, String Shot) that I could hardly not put in there, plus some STAB moves and status moves. Afterwards tehre were only a few slots left. To compare it to a few other legends, this has 14 level-up moves. Dialga and Palkia have 13, Reshiram and Zekrom have 16 and Rayquaza has 13 too. I found that most of them don't have very big level-up pools. I only added Rock Throw for some flavor, because it is supposed to live in a cave which is in a bend in spacetime. Additionally, it should be easy to throw them with its many arms. In the same fashion, they have large TM movepools, I gave it all moves that I could see fit, mostly leaving out Ice and Fire-type moves. Temponaether makes its name too long and hard to pronounce in my opinion. While 12 letters is technically allowed, it doesn't have a nice ring.

No worries. Yeah the Pokedex Entry can be tricky but then again this is an Arceus-esque Pokemon so maybe the short and mysterious entry you've put works best for it. That is fair about the moveset, was a bit confused at first about it learning Rock Throw and it getting access to Stone Edge considering it's type. The description of the Pokemon you've provided has cleared this confusion now and I think it works well. No biggie about the name. Temponea rolls easier off the tongue.

I've actually removed Smack Down, Rock Throw and Stone Edge because multiple people had an issue with it and didn't understand it after all. I added Ancient Power and kept Rock Slide, since you don't really need to throw for that. What do you think is better?

The description refers to it as hurling boulders at the foe. Ancient Power is completely fine, fits in with the theme of the Pokemon. I can see it getting Rock Slide as well but if you had to pick solely one of them I'd go for Ancient Power. It's the weaker move but ties in more, having both would be good as well.

I removed it, however I would like to see some discussion on those moves since I do think they fit since it lives in a cave and its feet are strong enough to carry rocks.
